Is there a single body for dance? Are our tools, vs body, equal to the same dance?, at the same choreography?, express the same? Do all the dances correspond to the same body type?. Dancing may have parallels in connection with the voice, p.e. baritone, soprano, tenor…?, dancer can only interpret a type of score?, I mean, does a kind of dance. Though dance, what do you propose we declare?, director by staging a bodily constitution and not another?
These question arise regarding my tool, my own body, in relation to the expression, communication and creativity through dance, I wonder: what emotion. What emotion contained in each body constitution?. My experience both as a performer and spectators brings me to reflect on the continent and the contents of the current dance. To do this, I protagonist dancer and ballerina as the firs holder of dance, dance reciewing what is being proposed from the West. Then based in humans, both in its form, in its physical constitution and temperament, reviewed the documentation provided by the history od medicine and psychology.
For these parameters I rely on the classical Hippocratic humoral theory and theories about the Body Types of Ernest Ketschmert and others. The first flame humor to what we now call temperament and I refer to American psychologist Gordon W. Allport, famous for his theory of personality and the book ‘ Personality ‘ , which defines it thus ;
